2007 Philanthropy Day Luncheon
The Community Foundation of Charles County's 2nd annual Philanthropy Day Luncheon was a great success. We had approximately 130 guests join us for lunch at the Waldorf Jaycees to celebrate giving and to recognize or be recognized as someone nominated by members of this community as not only giving back to this community but giving more.
We had a total of 29 nominees for the Nonprofit (3 award recepients), Philanthropist and Volunteer of the Year awards. The Philanthropy committee definitely had their plates full and the process lasted longer because of the number of nominees and it being our first year. Each individual/organization were scored based on the nomination and the criteria posted by the Community Foundation of Charles County (View guidelines).
